You find yourself in a corner with nowhere to go;
If you've learned one thing in life, it's just how much you really don't know.

You look deep inside of you, you look deep within;
Sometimes it's depressing to find out where you have and haven't been;
Memories of loneliness, memories of sin;
Memories of happiness, and things that could have been.

You think of things where you have had some doubt;
And remember how these things have turned you inside out.

You travel through life doing your best to treat everyone fair and square;
In your search for that magical special someone with gorgeous longhair.

Light in darkness, darkness in light;
You pool all of your strength to make it through the night.

At times your grab for the shimmering light too soon;
When you miss it you feel like an utterly complete buffoon.

About your thoughts and desires you're honest and willing to share;
You hope for the best as you offer up a hopeful prayer.
